Human Powered Health OSTRO VAM

A fast bike for a strong team

With the season in full swing, many of the biggest races on the Women’s WorldTour calendar have already happened – like Tour des Flandres, Paris-Roubaix Femmes, and the Vuelta España Femenina – but many of the most prestigious events are still to come. Top of that list is the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. Factor-sponsored Human Powered Health has been finding success on multiple fronts, racing with panache and committed to working together to score the best possible results.

Daria Pikulik’s sprint victory at the Ronde de Mouscron in Belgium certainly is a highlight for the team. They exhibited exceptional race craft to help control the day’s breaks and multiple attacks so that they could set up their burgeoning sprinting star for her first win of the season.

“It feels really good to win and it was a great team effort so we are really happy,” Pikulik said on the team’s website.

Multiple podiums at big events

The team got off to a fast start in January with Katia Ragusa winning the Queen of the Mountains competition at the Santos Tour Down Under. And even if the team’s speedy sprinter Daria Pikulik has been responsible for a large number of the podium finishes, including 3rd place in the second stage of the UAE Tour Women, the GP Eco-Struct, and the Classic Brugge-De Panne, as well as 2nd place at the GP Mazda Schelkens and the EPZ Omloop van Borsele.

A number of additional podium places have been spread across quite a few of the team’s riders. Ruth Edwards took 3rd at Trofeo Oro in Euro and 2nd at the US National Championship road race (with a 4th place in the ITT, missing the podium by 3 seconds). Linda Zanetti took 3rd at the Clasica de Almeria while teammate Yuliia Biriukova took 2nd at the race. Marit Raaijmakers took 2nd at the Vuelta CV Feminas. Lily Williams scored one of the best results of the team’s classic season by taking 3rd at the hotly contested Danilith Nokere Koerse Women. And most recently, Henrietta Christie finished 3rd at the very difficult Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar.

The team’s road captain Audrey Cordon-Ragot has been prominent by helping to guide her teammates to their best results, most notably when she grabbed a 4th place herself after leading out Daria Pikulik at EPZ Omloop van Borsele. Lily Williams also took 7th that day.

Eyes on the prize

Though there’s already a lot of racing under the belt, some of the most prestigious events are just on the horizon. Part of the squad is currently racing in Spain at the Vuelta Ciclista Andalucia Elite women where Henrietta Christie is showing her good form just in time for the biggest stages races. She took 6th in the initial stage that featured nearly 3000 meters of elevation gain. The Tour of Britain Women and the Internationale LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour will be stage race highlights for June, that will help the riders fine tune their form ahead of the next Grand Tour of the season, the Giro d’Italia Women from July 7th to 14th.

A bike designed for champions

Since the early part of the seasons, the Human Powered Health riders have been aboard the second generation OSTRO VAM with Black Inc 48|58 wheels. The special Human Powered Health colorway stands out as one of the most striking and desirable in the pack.

“We are really excited about the bike. We like the look of it because the paint job is just so nice,” Audrey Cordon-Ragot confirmed. “Everyone on social media was positive about the design, which is rare. I am so happy to ride it. And proud too to ride it knowing that we look good. It’s just a very nice bike.”

The OSTRO VAM is a bike that can be competitive on any terrain. It is ready to win sprints, conquer cobbled classics, and summit the climbs with the fastest. The Black Inc 48|58 wheels use differentiated depths of 48mm front and 58mm rear to ensure stability in high wind conditions at all yaw angles.

The aerodynamic and lightweight qualities of the frame and wheels combine to make Human Powered Health’s OSTRO VAM among the fastest and most efficient in the pro peloton. The special colorway sets it apart even more, since it’s not only fast, but beautiful.
